We are looking for an experienced finance professional to take responsibility for our Payroll and Cashiering functions cross both of our Clubhouses including managing the payroll function. Reporting into the Financial Controller we are looking for someone who can adhere to our values and be consistently pro-active in looking for ways to improve our systems and processes.

Role Responsibilities include:

Payroll duties:

  • Ensure all department managers approve and close the rotas on a weekly basis.
  • Have authority to roll back rotas if required (in communication with the payroll bureau)
  • Assist department managers to get the best out of the Payroll Reporting system.
  • Show them how to use the rotas, where they can run reports, how to edit forecast revenues etc. and analyse the data. Carry out training on a 1-2-1 basis where necessary.
  • To review the weekly and monthly payroll for accuracy on a timely basis before submitting for approval to the Financial Controller.
  • To reconcile the monthly PAYE payments from the payroll systems to the accounting systems
  • Responsible for RTI submissions on Fourth to HMRC on a timely basis
  • Prepare and submit EOY returns, P11ds and PSAs within HMRC deadlines.

Financial duties:

  • To run the nominal ledger export from Fourth to Microsoft Dynamics according to month end timelines. Reconcile and agree the data before confirming import.
  • Check and process Petty cash on a weekly basis and put in change requests.
  • Responsible for daily banking for Woodcote Park and carry out random audits on floats.
  • Top-up the ATM and ensure it is working, if not liaise with the ATM provider to resolve faults within ATM

Other duties:

  • Conduct various reconciliation, including, Credit cards and Card net
  • Carry out weekly random audits on checks to ensure members have approved the transactions. Assist Finance team with Internal audits, month end and year end tasks.
  • Prepare Directors Expenses for year end and staff taxi analysis

Our ideal candidate:

Essential experience:

  • Professional payroll or accounting qualifications
  • Have knowledge of Payroll processes & legislations
  • Capable of using IT systems such as Word, Excel, Payroll software
  • Possess an analytical approach to problem solving and an eye for detail
  • To be an effective communicator with external and internal stakeholders
  • Honesty and respect for confidential/sensitive information

  • CIPP qualified
  • Hospitality sector experience
  • Experience of using Fourth
