Based in our Woodcote Park clubhouse in Epsom.
The Kitchen Porter Supervisor role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, may be required based on the kitchen's operational needs.
- 5 shifts per week over a 7 day week, shift patterns to include evenings, weekends and bank holidays.
- Early, Mid and Late shifts range from 8am-4pm/9am-5pm/4pm-12am/5pm-1am.
- Due to the location and shift patterns public transport links are limited.

Purpose of the role:
Managing a team of 14 kitchen porters, taking responsibility for the daily cleaning requirements of the kitchens and back of house operation. To lead the day to day back of house operations of the kitchen in the absence of the back of house manager, delivering standards as set in the Club health and safety policy, produce 5 star EHO standards of hygiene and continually strive for perfection.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to motivate and lead a team
- Physical stamina to handle long shifts, as the role involves standing, lifting, and cleaning duties.
- Lead and supervise kitchen porter team, coordinating shifts and assigning tasks.
- Provide training to new kitchen porters on cleaning protocols, equipment uses, and health & safety regulations.
- Monitor performance, providing feedback to staff to improve productivity and efficiency.
About you:
- Previous experience as a kitchen porter or in a similar role, with supervisory experience preferred.
- Knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations and experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Strong organisational skills and ability to multitask under pressure.
- Excellent communication skills to manage a team and collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Physical fitness, as the role requires lifting and moving equipment and supplies
- A proactive attitude with attention to detail and cleanliness.
